Count Dante: The World’s Most Dangerous Grifter

As long as there has been martial artists there have been those looking to take advantage of people falling into the mysticism surrounding their Eastern Philosophy and how the weak could defend themselves against any attacker through the use of chi,qi, ki or pressure points. Reinforced by years of martial arts movies and ancient Wuxia tales, as well as an inability fact check via Google in the early days of Martial Arts in the West has allowed Dim Mak and characters like George Dillman to perpetuate their “skills.” Oddly enough, I’ve found these “Martial Artists” tend to be overweight and refuse to demo outside of their specific schools. As such it’s time delve into the pits of bullshido hell, Dim Mak combatives on how to win every fight.

EVERY DAMN TIME

Our Sifu on this journey is Steven Burton, Master of Five Thunder Dim Mak which is apparently a devastating art. With just two fingers, our pudgy sensei shows how to disable an attacker to the neck…. Now I am not disputing that if I chop you in the neck, it’s going to hurt and possibly disable my attacker but it’s not going to cause a goddamn stroke. More importantly fights are messy, wild affairs at the best of times. I commend anyone with the sense of self to aim directly at such a small point in even the slowest pace of engagement. However if your attacker is nice enough to walk up and engage you in such a half-hearted manner: you can strike like you’re performing a charm in Harry Potter, immediately raising or collapsing your opponent and causing them to pass out with slightest of prods just to the left of the wind pipe. Just, remember our Sifu recommends using this Vulcan Nerve Pinch via the reach around to drop his complicit student over and over as he winces in “pain.”

Who knows, as this series continues perhaps the legends of Dim Mak will be revealed to this humble writer, I will become a human weapon of chi energy. All I know is with the guidance of Sifu Steve, I fear no engagement from complicit attackers, in black tracksuit pants. After all, his combat experience has led to his mastery of these abilities. Let’s continue on this journey until one day we look like JCVD in Bloodsport.
